"Will LC3 distort or fade my vinyl liner?"
No. LC3 will not remove dies or distort your vinyl. Test have shown that vinyl liners can be submerged in LC3 for extended periods without any damage.
"Do I have to drain my pool to use LC3?"
No. Simply drop the water level to just below the scum line, apply LC3 to a sponge or pad and apply. Its that simple. See Application below for additional information.
"What types of stains or deposits will LC3 remove?"
Mineral deposits, scale, rust, calcium deposits, scum build-up, mildew stains, slime, fungus stains, algae stains, grease, discolorations and other difficult soils.
"Will LC3 add phosphates to pool water?"
No. LC3 like all 3X:Chemistry pool products, is free of algae feeding phosphates.
"How much LC3 will I need?"
If you have heavy soil build-up, a full size pool may require 1+ bottles of LC3. For medium to light scum a 1/2 bottle or less should do the trick.
"How long does it take to de-scum a pool using LC3?"
For full size pools with heavy build-up, expect approximately 2 minutes per yard*. Medium scum lines should easily be removed in 60 seconds per yard. Light scum lines can be removed almost immediately upon contact.
Conditions vary based on degree of build-up.
"Is LC3 safe for the environment and my kids?"
Yes. Though LC3 works like an acid, it is as safe as dish soap. The cleaning power comes from a chemically derived organic salt with a sea weed based thickening agent.
"Will LC3 effect pool water chemistry?"
Yes. LC3 will effect pH but only slightly.
"Can LC3 be used on other surfaces?"
Yes. Besides vinyl and fiberglass, LC3 can be used safely on a variety of surfaces including tile, rubber and concrete.
